To increase diverse representation in our global workforce, we take steps to attract, interview, hire, and retain candidates from diverse backgrounds. We aspire to achieve racial equity and social justice around the world, so we directly support several industry initiatives that help us engage with stakeholders. These groups also help guide our Diversity & Inclusion policies, practices, and commitments.
We were among the first companies to join CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion in 2017. Each member company is urged to create open, trusting environments where they can have complex, sometimes difficult, dialogue about diversity and inclusion. Each year our Chair and CEO hosts a CEO-led Day of Understanding when thousands of employees from across our organization meet to discuss diversity and inclusion topics.
We support an 11-point commitment for manufacturers to advance justice, equality, and opportunity for all people of color.
As the first in our industry to enter the Paradigm for Parity Coalition, we pledge to bring gender parity to our corporate leadership structure by 2030.

Our 2030 Sustainability Commitments guide our actions and ambitions – including our goals to achieve gender parity in senior leadership positions, increase women in management positions, and increase the amount of racially and ethnically diverse people in our salaried U.S. workforce by 50%. Trane Technologies’ EEO-1 Report is a composition of our U.S. workforce and uses federally mandated job categories and definitions, which differs from how Trane Technologies categorizes roles and measures workforce diversity. We believe that our ESG report, provides a more meaningful reflection of our global workforce and the effectiveness of Trane Technologies’ diversity and inclusion efforts.
