Donny Simmons

Donny Simmons is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Trane Technologies. In this role, Donny oversees the company’s regional business units and operations, driving business and operational alignment while accelerating execution of the company’s growth strategy.

Donny has extensive experience leading complex, global operations and a broad perspective shaped by leadership roles across general management, sales, manufacturing and finance. He has led several of the company’s largest businesses, including Commercial HVAC Americas and EMEA, as well as global industrial businesses. Most recently, he served as group president of the Americas region, where he oversaw a broad portfolio including commercial and residential HVAC, transport refrigeration and life science solutions. Donny joined Trane Technologies in 2001 from Owens Corning, where he held various finance and operations leadership roles.

Throughout his career, Donny has been recognized for his strategic leadership, deep business expertise and strong operational discipline, as well as his commitment to developing talent and building high-performing teams that deliver profitable growth.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University.
