Why Culture, Commitment and Community Matter to Business
Trane Technologies’ Chair and CEO, Dave Regnery, describes the relationship between a strong culture, business and communities.
When people join Trane Technologies, they are part of a company with a purpose centered on making a positive impact on a global scale. As a global business, we operate in regions, communities and neighborhoods around the world. It’s in these towns of all shapes and sizes where our people spend nearly all their time, working, living and learning. And it’s there at the hyper-local level where success is built. As our Chair and CEO, Dave Regnery says it, “If our communities are strong – we’re strong.”
Building a Strong culture and Community
I always tell people that at Trane Technologies we've had such a great run for the past five years and you see it with our results. But what's part of that is the culture that we've built, which is all about how you strengthen your communities. So cultures come from the communities in which you work, and you want your communities to be vibrant. And so we're here today, a group of us and volunteering at FeedNC and hopefully we're making a little bit of a difference in our community.
Committed to the cause
Volunteerism is where the heart of Trane Technologies is on display. We’ve committed to volunteering 500,000 hours around the world as part of our 2030 Sustainability Commitments, aiming to create opportunity for all by engaging locally. Because uplifting others matters to our people and our business, we offer employees eight hours of paid time to volunteer, and opportunities for their volunteering to earn dollars they can donate to local organizations of their choosing.
With over 300,000 hours volunteered since 2020, we are more than on track to meet our 500,000 goal and are proud to be making a difference, one hour at a time.
